Elena pondered over Ryan's word but couldn't understand anything. She sensed he was hiding something vital from her, something tied to their marriage. His claim of protecting her from Russo didn't add up, since Russo was no longer a threat. Nor did she believe Ryan's obsession was the sole reason for their union. There was more to it and she is determined to find out but for now she only wants to focus on her exams.
